Job Summary
The Material Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as packing, un-packing, staging, retrieving, and stocking material.
Job Responsibility
- Locate, identify, and retrieve material within a warehouse using provided pick tickets.
- Use industrial ladders to pull and stock parts in the warehouse facility.
- Safely handle and operate pallet jacks.
- Prepare orders and material for shipping.
- Proper packing of products and able to use automated packing equipment.
- Perform cycle counts as directed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
- At least two years of related experience required.
Schedule Requirements
- Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average
- Work is performed full-time, M-F during standard working hours.
- Expected to perform work functions at the office 5 days per week.
- Must be able to work flexible hours with the possibility of working overtime, based on the needs of our outside business partners and their commitment to their customers.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to safely manage weights up to 45 pounds at a time using proper lifting techniques.
- You must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
