Material Handler I

Job Summary

Duties/Responsibilities

• Locate, identify, and retrieve material within a warehouse using provided pick tickets. 
• Use industrial ladders to pull and stock parts in the warehouse facility. 
• Safely handle and operate pallet jacks. 
• Prepare orders and material for shipping. 
• Proper packing of products and able to use automated packing equipment. 
• Perform cycle counts as directed. 
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Good math and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.  

Schedule Requirements

• Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average
• Work is performed full-time, M-F during standard working hours.
• Expected to perform work functions at the office 5 days per week.
• Must be able to work flexible hours with the possibility of working overtime, based on the needs of our outside business partners and their commitment to their customers.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to safely manage weights up to 45 pounds at a time using proper lifting techniques.
• You must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
