Job Summary

The Senior Planner will be responsible for timely planning, scheduling of receipts and inventory control of products and services as assigned.

Job Responsibility

Planning and forecasting of computer spare parts.
Performs periodic excess and obsolescence analysis.
Works with buyers to expedite delivery of orders as needed.
Coordinates the planning of schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with processes.
Coordinates quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company and suppliers.
Establish and maintain backup supplies for high-demand items.
Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Ability to plan and manage operational tasks.
Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education

An AA / AS degree with 3-5 years’ material planning and purchasing experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree + 2 years’ experience as a purchaser / planner is preferred.

Certifications

An individual with a Planner Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is desired.

Schedule Requirements

Expected to perform work functions at the office 3 days per week + 2 days per week working remotely.
Work is performed full-time, Monday through Friday during standard working hours; day shift as we encourage team collaboration.
Some evening meetings may be required to accommodate various resource time zones.
Quarterly + as-needed on-site team meetings will also be held. Participation is required.

Physical Requirements

Frequently required to use hands for keyboarding and telephone operation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.  
Must be able to navigate throughout the warehouse and reach items both high and low.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in ambient room temperatures with lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment
