Sustainable Development Goals

As an advocate for the circular economy, Acer calls for more businesses to join in the Earthion mission and collectively promote environmentally friendly evolution and concepts. The name Earthion combines "Earth" and "Mission," expressing Acer's commitment to face environmental challenges through collaboration with employees and supply chain partners.

Acer, as a brand leader, shoulders the mission to implement the RE100 commitment, aiming to source 100% renewable energy by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. It also pursues more environmentally friendly product designs and strives to reduce the carbon footprint of its supply chain.

Since its announcement in 2021, the Vero eco-friendly product line has expanded from laptops to desktop computers, monitors, projectors, household appliances, and accessories. By using recycled plastics, recyclable packaging, or plastics from ocean waste recycling, Acer provides consumers, businesses, and organizations with more options to reduce their carbon footprint.

The "Earthion" initiative by Acer sets a milestone for coexistence between humanity and the environment while upholding the commitment to sustainable development. Acer focuses on developing more products with sustainability at the core, enhancing the connection between technology and people, and showcasing the positive impact Acer and its supply chain partners bring to the planet.

  • Stan Shih

    Co-Founder & Honorary Chairman, Acer Inc.

    Stan Shih dedicated his efforts to promoting public interests after his initial retirement from Acer at the end of 2004. In recent years, he has been publicly speaking on the Wangdao ideology of altruism in relation to organizational sustainability in modern times.

    Chairman & CEO, Acer Inc. 

    Jason Chen has been Chairman and CEO of Acer since 2017, leading the company through a corporate transformation. From 2014-2017 Chen served as Corporate President and CEO.

  • Victor Chien

    Corporate President, Acer Inc. 

    Victor Chien was appointed Corporate President in May 2023 and has led the Digital Display Business as President since March 2016. With his latest appointment, Chien now oversees the end-to-end management of IT products that includes laptops, desktops, displays, and product design and engineering.

    Jerry Kao became Chief Operating Officer in May 2023, having served as Co-Chief Operating Officer since November 2018. He is a seasoned professional of the PC industry with more than 25 years of experience.
