Business Intelligence Manager
Job Responsibility
- A professional sourcer who evaluates, compares, negotiates and purchases market intelligence and tools for the entire company. Types of data and services extend beyond traditional PC/key component shipments & sellout, to encompass social media, news media, website traffic, digital marketing, SEO/SEM, and much more.
- An experienced gatekeeper who not only controls the overall budget, but also performs portfolio management to ensure the most efficient allocation.
- A proficient analyst able to handle internal research inquiries, and make strategic communications with external analysts, including but not limited to providing company guidance and SWOT.
- An insight advocate who plans and hosts seminars to disseminate market update and insight to business and functional teams.

Requirements

─ Work experience:
3 years in research or market analyst related roles in PC technology firms
Demonstrated experience with data modeling and analysis using Excel. Experience with extracting information out of data sets (GFK, NPD, IDC, CONTEXT…).
Competitive marketing analyst experience is highly preferred
Experience in product marketing; technical background and/or tech industry experience are preferred
Experience in forecasting or keeping track of industry trends
─ Skills:
Native or fluent English proficiency (IELT:C2 or TOEFL: 90)
Excel (power-pivot level: strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills)
PowerPoint: creativity in developing new approaches to address "hard to answer" research problems, and in organizing and presenting data to highlight key market trends and characteristics.

Preferred:
‒ The desired candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, and be able to clearly and concisely present information and conclusions, which are essential for collaborating with team members and other division members.
‒ Understanding of, and interest in, current technology PC trends and technologies, their impact on business strategy, and their implications for creating and sustaining competitive advantage.
